ATTENTION Leopard owners....
Most all of us know this, but I'll mentuion it because I found one occurance this week:
Leopard starter rings have the potential to break if the bendix is thrown toward the outside while the engine is running. It generally breaks a small segment out between the holes.
The broken segment was directly on plane with the crank pin, and caused the drive side counterbalance to wobble. Ruined the bearing, rubbed the case, and probably vibrated a lot.
Replacement coast of the broken parts are about $175, if you don't run the engine. More if you do.
