A word of Caution......
Yesterday my wife and I were enlisted to go to Clayton and pick up some oil for the rotary screew air compressor at the shop. Seems we didin't know we were out when we were there the day before. At any rate, I couldn't find the place. (Directions were sketchy.) We got lost three times, and were traveling on SR 49 towards Dayton, in the village of Clayton. I was going the wrong way, so.... I pulled a "huey" at the corner of Union Rd. and SR 49. In fornt of a police officer. Didn't see him until I was committed.
I was also ion the phone to the shop wth the girl in the office who was trying to give me directions. I have Sync, by t he way, so she wass coming in over the radio speaker. I headed back the way from whence IO came, and noted tht the officer wass now following me, at a distance. My wife, to whom I alwasy listen?? said," It's all right, you can do that." I continued on at a slow pace looking for my next lapse in directional judgement, and found it right next to a Wnedy's. Fearing my next move, I pulled off the roiad into a parking lot to continue the discussion on the phone. The cop was right behind me. He pulled up along side, and motioned for me to roll down the window, so I did.
Now just so you know, I'm packing "Heat", have been since I got a Concealed carry permit. The office girl is coming loudly over the phone, and the officer poliely explains that what I did weas not legal, even though he noted that I proceeded with care. He siad that he didn't want to see me get a ticket???. By now the girl in the office is aware that I now have a cop outside, and suggests I ask him for directions. I ask him if he knows where Eaton Compressor is? He says no! SO I sak him where the street called Cass is? he says, no! At this point Misie has heard all of the conversation, but doesn't know the officer can hear her, loudly. She then staatesm, " He issn't much gfood is he?"
Now I'vd dodged a ticket, and whince at her comment. She then realizes the officer can hear her, and appologizes profusly.
You just can't make this up. Just aqnother day in paradise!!

The Conceal Carry laws have changed greatly this year.
You can now carry, if you have a CCW Permit, into a location that sells liquor, beer, and wine. Took effect this year.
The rules for carrying a weapn in your vehicle, have also changed. As a licensed CCW permit holoder, you may carry your gun, in a holster, in plain sight, or locked up in the console. Some individuals were cited for voilatrion of this portion, but, the new law pardons them from the past violatioon.
